This version of Venatio Creo is the free edition. It is a feature complete version of Venatio Creo that may be downloaded and redistributed to anyone. However, this version does not support the stand-alone redistribution option when creating a game. This is only available in the Venatio Creo Pro edition which will be announced at a later date.Venatio Creo 3D (PC)

This version of Venatio Creo 3D is a pre alpha release. It is an early playtesting version of Venatio Creo 3D that can be redistributed to anyone. However, this version is missing many features that will be present within the full version.Installation
To install, download the release executable file and then run it. You will be prompted with a license agreement and then be asked where to install Venatio Creo onto your computer. After the installation is complete, you will be prompted to install OpenAL software. This is required to run Venatio Creo and must be accepted. In subsequent installs, you will not be required to reinstall the OpenAL software. After the installation is complete simply execute the shortcut that will appear on your desktop. Your projects will be stored in the Venatio Creo directory you specified during installation. Venatio Creo for the Xbox 360 is a port of the original PC version to the Xbox 360 Gaming Platform. With an Xbox Live account, you will be able to download it directly from the Xbox Live Marketplace. This version contains many of the features from the original Venatio Creo, along with some modified controls to make it easier for a casual audience. Venatio Creo Lite is a PC port of Venatio Creo for the Xbox 360. This port is designed to allow the ease of use from the Xbox version on any PC that meets the system requirements for the application. This application has all of the features of the Xbox version, and REQUIRES an Xbox 360 Game Controller to use. Since this version is fully compatible with Games for Windows Live, you may use your Xbox Live Gamertag while you are using the application. This version will also create game projects that are compatible with the Xbox version of Venatio Creo, so feel free to post them in the forums and they may be included with a future version of Venatio Creo for the Xbox 360. To use Venatio Creo Lite, you will require the following: XNA Game Studio 3.1 .NET Framework 3.5 XNA Framework 3.1 After installing all of these prerequisites, you can safely install and run the Venatio Creo Lite Installer. Download the release file, unzip it, then run Venatio Creo.msi. Afterwards, you can run the application directly from the Start Menu. Make sure you have an Xbox 360 Gamepad plugged in and ready.Venatio Creo Stand-Alone Technology Demonstrations
The following projects are stand-alone Venatio Creo game demonstrations. These do not require the original Venatio Creo editor to run and showcase how a professional quality stand-alone game can be generated with Venatio Creo.
Tofu Hero
Tofu Hero is a standard platformer starring a Tofu-man who must navigate mazes while shooting fireballs. It is a short tech demo designed to show how a classic platformer may be made using Venatio Creo.
Aki no Toki
Aki no Toki is a standard J-RPG style game where an adventurer must find and destroy a monster encampment. This tech demo shows how Venatio Creo may support rather complex game genres. Aki no Toki features a full inventory system, active battle system, character development and objectives, as well as a dynamic HUD (heads up display).
